Legal
Privacy notice
Last updated: 29 October 2026
This notice explains what personal data we collect through the Staibles website, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.
Who we are
Staibles is a trading name of Omnia Platforms Ltd, which is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 17236418, with our registered office at 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London W1W 5PF, and registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under reference ZC171134.
If you have any questions about this notice or about how we handle your data, contact us at info@staibles.com.
What we collect and why
If you are a syndicate or racing club we contact
To build the platform we contact syndicate operators, racing clubs, trainers and similar businesses using contact details published on their own websites or professional profiles. We hold the business contact details and a record of our correspondence. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in approaching businesses about a service relevant to them. If you would rather we did not hold your details or contact you again, tell us and we will remove them.
If you email us
We will hold your message and contact details so that we can reply and keep a record of the conversation. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us about our business.
If you send us an update about a listing
Our update form asks for the operator, the listing or horse, what has changed, a link to where it is shown, your name and your email address. We use them only to check the update against the operator's own site, correct the listing, and reply to you; our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping listings accurate. Submissions are stored by our hosting provider, Netlify, and we delete them there within 90 days; a record of what we changed and who told us is kept with the operator's correspondence, as set out under "How long we keep it". Questions to info@staibles.com.
If you use the corrections form on your preview
If you run a listing and use the corrections form on your preview, we collect your name, email address and the corrections or comments you send. We use them only to check and correct your listing and to reply to you, and we keep them as a record of what was changed and why.
Email alerts
If you sign up for alerts, we keep your email address and the preferences you choose, so we can email you when a matching share is listed. If you also tick the box for partner offers, we’ll occasionally email you offers from organisations we work with, such as racecourses, insurers, financial services, travel and lifestyle brands. We send these ourselves and never pass your email address to them, or to operators or anyone else. Your details are stored with our website host, Netlify. You can stop either kind of email at any time by replying "stop", or by emailing us, and we'll delete your details. Otherwise we delete them after two years. The lawful basis is your consent, given when you sign up; partner offers need their own, separate tick.
The weekly Winners email
If you sign up for the Winners email, we keep your email address, the date you signed up and the record that you ticked the box to agree, so we can send you last week's winners and placed horses every Monday. When you sign up, we email you a link to confirm; nothing is sent until you click it. We use your address for this email only. We don't add you to email alerts or partner offers unless you sign up for those separately, and we never pass your address to operators or anyone else, other than Brevo, which sends the email for us.
Your details are stored with Brevo, in France and Belgium (in the EU). We count which links in the email are clicked, so we can tell operators how many people visited their listings from it. Operators only ever see totals, never who clicked. We don't track whether you open the email.
Every email has an unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe by replying "stop" or by emailing us. We then stop sending at once and delete your details within 30 days, keeping only a record that your address has unsubscribed, so it is never emailed again. If you don't unsubscribe, we delete your details two years after you were last sent one, or sooner if we stop the Winners email.
The lawful basis is your consent, given when you sign up. You can withdraw it at any time.
When you visit the site
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used and protecting it from abuse.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing purposes. In particular, we do not pass your details to syndicates or racing clubs unless you ask us to put you in touch with one.
We use the following service providers, who process data on our behalf under contract:
| Provider | Purpose | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Netlify | Website hosting, form submissions | United States |
| Microsoft | Email and business correspondence | United States / EU |
| Brevo | The weekly Winners email | EU (France and Belgium) |
We may also disclose personal data where we are required to do so by law, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this site — which pages are visited, which listings are clicked, and where our visitors come from. This helps us improve the site and show operators that we are sending them genuine interest.
Google Analytics sets cookies on your device. These are not strictly necessary for the site to work, so we will not set them unless you agree. When you first visit, you will be asked whether to accept analytics cookies. You can decline, and the site will work exactly as it does otherwise. You can change your mind at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
Our lawful basis for analytics cookies is your consent. Your cookie choice, and any shares you save, are kept in your own browser so the site remembers them. Neither is sent to us, and neither needs your consent.
Google acts as our processor for analytics data. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses, and we do not use Google Analytics to identify individuals or to build advertising profiles.
If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics also records what you do with listings: which listing you viewed; which filters you chose; when you save or unsave a listing, or add one to compare; when a listing's enquiry details came into view; and when you click through to an operator's own website, which listing and operator the link was for and the page you clicked it on. When you press a Contact button, we record which listing and operator it was for, and which button you used. It doesn't include your name or contact details, and it helps us show operators how many buyers we send them. It never records anything you type. If you decline, Google Analytics records none of this. Separately, every link to an operator's website carries a short tag naming Staibles, the kind of page and the listing (or the operator), so the operator can see the visit came from us. The tag is part of the link, so it is there whether or not you accept cookies, and it contains nothing about you.
People who work on Staibles can mark their own browsers so their visits are left out of our figures. This only affects their browsers, not yours.
Saved shares
When you tap the heart on a share, the list of shares you have saved is kept in your own browser, so it is still there the next time you visit on the same device. It stays on your device: it is never sent to us, we cannot see it, and it is not linked to you. You can remove a share from the list at any time, or clear the whole list by clearing this site's data in your browser. The shares you pick to compare are not kept at all once you leave the page.
Transfers outside the UK
Some of our providers are based in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the safeguards those providers have in place, which include the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it. Brevo, which sends the Winners email, stores your details in the EU (France and Belgium), which the UK's adequacy regulations recognise as protecting personal data adequately; where Brevo processes them outside the EU, it relies on the safeguards set out in its data processing terms.
How long we keep it
- Early-access sign-ups — until 30 days after Staibles launches, when we delete the list. If you unsubscribe before then, we delete your address straight away.
- Email alerts — until you ask us to stop, or two years after you sign up, whichever comes first.
- The weekly Winners email — until you unsubscribe, when we delete your details within 30 days, keeping only a record that you unsubscribed so you are never emailed again; or two years after you were last sent one.
- Business contact details and correspondence — for as long as needed for the matter it relates to, and then for a reasonable period afterwards in case the conversation resumes.
- Update form submissions — deleted from Netlify within 90 days; what we changed, and who told us, is kept as operator correspondence above.
- Website technical logs — for a short period only, generally no more than 90 days.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it
- have inaccurate data corrected
- ask us to delete your data
- ask us to restrict how we use it
- object to our use of it where we rely on legitimate interests
- withdraw your consent where we rely on consent
- receive your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these, email info@staibles.com. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Comparisons and automated decision-making
Staibles compares the share offers it lists, using fixed, published rules. These comparisons are about offers, not people: they are worked out from the terms an operator publishes about its own offer, and they are not used to evaluate, rank or make decisions about you.
We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects concerning you, or that similarly significantly affects you.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice when our practices change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Where changes are significant, we will tell subscribers directly. We will update it if we begin offering accounts.
