What you get

On raceday
Badges are allocated by ballot among members.
At the yard
Free stable visits are organised throughout the syndicate term; where not all owners can be accommodated, a ballot is held; members cover their own travel.
Hospitality
Ballots for member events at their hospitality boxes at Newbury Racecourse, through the year
Keeping in touch
Weekly updates on the horse's well-being and progress
Prize money
Distributed to each member in proportion to shareholding, after racing authority deductions, paid at the end of each syndicate term; amounts under £10 are held over

What it costs

Cost per share, whole term
£120Covers the share and everything the horse costs until 31 August 2027. We haven't found yet whether anything further is payable during the term. Because the payment also buys the share, it cannot be set against another operator's ongoing annual cost — which is why what a year costs isn't compared here.
Term ends
31 August 2027
Insurance
Horses are explicitly not insured by the operator for injury or death; members may insure their own share independently
At the end
You own a share of the horse and a share of anything it is sold for. What that will be worth is unknown.

Read the operator's full written terms — we compare what is in them, but the document is theirs and you should read it.

If the horse's career ends

Aftercare
On retirement the operator may sell or gift the horse to a retirement home, or to a retirement/rehabilitation centre where rehoming is unsuitable

The details we look for in every offer, each counting once. A tick means we've found it on the operator's website or in a document they give every member, or, for RSA membership, on the RSA's own register. "Not found yet" doesn't mean it isn't there.

Questions to ask before you join
