What it costs

Year one, per share
£696Twelve monthly payments. The operator states “Lease shares No Upfront Cost”. From Emris Racing's website, read 14 October 2026. Nothing is spread over later years, so this is also the figure used for comparison.
Per 1% of the lease
£139The figure that makes offers comparable. A £54 share and a £5,000 share are not alike until you divide by how much of the lease each one buys.
Share size
5%
Insurance
All horses insured for All Risks of Mortality through Lycetts; members receive their proportional share of any payout after costs
At the end
You pay to race the horse for a set period. You own no part of it and have no claim on any sale.
What the upfront covers
There is no upfront for lease shares: "Syndicate Fees" in the terms means the capital share price, which lease shares don't pay.Confirmed by the operator by email, 9 October 2026

Read the operator's full written terms — we compare what is in them, but the document is theirs and you should read it.

If the horse's career ends

Aftercare
On retirement the operator seeks a suitable home or gifts the horse to a retirement or rehabilitation centre
